Tear-inducing (for me, anyway)

I'm feeling kind of...eh...right now.

So here's a list of some songs that make me want to cry (or actually DO make me cry), for whatever reason.

You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift. Ok, so I'll probably sound really pathetic for saying this, but this song pretty much describes my life. Except I don't end up with the guy. Ever. So yeah...

Love Story - Taylor Swift. And again, pathetic. But I listen to this song, and it just makes me feel so depressed. Because let's face it; stuff like that just doesn't happen.

Roxas - Yoko Shimomura. I don't know, but there's just something about this song. It's beautiful, and yet, it just hits a nerve.

The Other Promise - Yoko Shimomura. It's an extended, orchestrated version of Roxas. It's more powerful, and again, it's so lovely, and yet so sad at the same time.

Hurt - Johnny Cash. It's a great song. The combination of the emotion in his voice and the lyrics just strikes me every time I listen to it.

Fix You - Coldplay. It's just a sad song, period.

I'm Not That Girl - Wicked. Again, this song is a perfect portrait of my "love life".

For Good - Wicked. Sometimes it gets me, sometimes it doesn't. It depends on how I'm feeling when I listen to it. But it really is a powerful song. The idea, I mean.

Everything You Ever - Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
. It's not as sad when you just listen to the song. But when you actually watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, you get the full effect of the song and the words behind it, and it's a very sad song.

I Don't Know How to Love Him - Jesus Christ Superstar. Yvonne Elliman was absolutely phenomenal in the movie version. There was just so much raw emotion in her voice. Gets me every time.

Shadow of the Day - Linkin Park. I associate this song with a friend of mine, who was having a pretty hard time at one point. But besides that, it is a pretty sad song.

That's all I can think of right now.

Any songs that strike a nerve with you that I haven't mentioned?

  1. I cry to a ton of songs, but there's an epic one that I've had multiple emotional breakdowns to:

"...That I May Not Cause Pain" by Kiros.

Incredible song. Massively tear inducing. Great when you're feeling down and just need to cry your eyes out.
